Collaboration with Kathryn Cole

Jewelry artist Kathryn Cole has been participating in the Ring a Day project which is exactly as ambitious and awesome as it sounds.  I’ve been admiring her work through the months and was delighted when she contacted me about being a featured artist for one of the rings.  I decided to contribute a tiny sculpture of a chompy toothed bunny.  Kathryn took the little guy and turned him into a beautiful piece of wearable art.   She worked in sterling  silver and I used La Doll air dry clay, glass eyes, paint and watercolor pencils.  Here’s the finished piece:

Kathryn Cole and Calan Ree Ring

You can shop for Kathryn Cole’s jewely on etsy or in St. Petersburg FL at ArtPool and Florida Craftsmen.  To see more check out of Kathryn Cole’s Ring A Day (RAD) rings and other jewelry designs on her Flickr.
