Basha – new art doll with hat

ooak art doll by calan ree

Each lotus pod births a completely unique girl.  The latest is Basha.  She’s strong-willed (some might say stubborn), creative and a bit impatient.  She loves fashion, but prefers to deconstruct rather than start from scratch.  She likes her stuff to be totally different than anyone else.  She is wearing a hat and belt she made from a dress.  When it comes to her creations she doesn’t care about perfect stitching or neatness in general.  In fact, the odd shapes and primitive construction is what makes her style her own.

Basha is made with lotus pod, lightweight stone clay, wire, re-purposed fabric hand dyed with coffee and cinnamon and thread.  She measures just under  inches tall and is 4 inches wide.  She is available though my etsy store and will be traveling with the rest of my dolls to Art Rock next Saturday (May 7th) in West Palm Beach.
