Memento Mori - Ceramic Wall Art

300.00

Memento Mori means to 'remember death'  or 'remember that you will die'. This isn't meant to be sad or dark, but more of a reminder of life's fragility and how precious our time is here. This piece can also serve as a a way to honor those we have lost.  The skeleton is a symbol of death while the poppy was used in Greek and Latin myths as an offering to the dead. This piece would be perfect for a home shrine, Dia de los Muertos art collection or just a great decorative piece.  It was made with love and with the hopes that it would bring back joyful memories of loved ones who have left us and remind us to enjoy our precious lives.

This wall sculpture is hand built using earthenware clay in coils and slabs.  It was fired in a kiln and finished with both glaze and cold finishes.  It has a flat ceramic back with a keyhole style opening to easily hang it on your wall.  It weighs under 5 lbs.

13.5" H x 9" W x 3.5" D
